Eurasia Higher Education Summit

The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUCN) actively participated in the Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE) from February 26th to 29th, 2024, showcasing its educational offerings at the “Study in Romania” pavilion. TUCN representatives, Prof. Dr. Eng. Cristina Câmpian and Ildiko Renata Petz, engaged in discussions on various internationalization and management topics during the conference, which attracted over 400 universities worldwide.

The university aimed to promote mobility opportunities within its bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs, fostering collaborations and Erasmus+ agreements. TUCN successfully signed a collaboration agreement with Daffodil International University, Bangladesh, and with the Strategic Cooperation in Higher Education University in Indonesia, which has multiple specializations similar to those of TUCN. Discussions were also initiated with Aydın University in Istanbul for a potential cooperation agreement, so the fair was incredibly fruitful to TUCN internationalization purposes.

The conference provided a valuable platform to highlight TUCN’s facilities, explore collaboration possibilities, and discuss the role of data and technology in international education paving the way to further TUCN efforts towards EUt+ popularization and amassing an increasingly global student body.
